CARE's Toolkit for Youth on Adaptation and Leadership aims to provide young people with the skills and knowledge to meaningfully and effectively engage in climate adaptation policies and advocacy and take action for the climate. The material is aimed at young people aged 15-35 and is available in French, Arabic and English. It consists of eight modules and provides tools to design and implement climate adaptation initiatives.
Plan International has developed a Youth Leadership in Climate Policy training module that trains you to become a strong climate advocate. It consists of four modules that take you through international climate agreements and give you the tools to strengthen and develop your climate advocacy skills and create an action plan. The material is for young people aged 14 and up and translated into several languages.
Ecorasmus, developed wiht funding from EU, is a learning hub for youth organisations looking for tips on how to create green projects. They focus on seven themes, including place, food, resources and more.
The Big Climate Conversation is a handbook for those who want to start the climate conversation with their parents, friends' parents, teachers, etc. It gives you tips and tricks to start the important conversation around the dinner table. Developed by the Green Youth Movement, the Council for Green Transition, the Climate Movement, GreenPeace and Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke. The material is in Danish.
Children's Climate Cards is an educational module for children aged 7-12 that teaches about climate change through play and games. The game is structured like a treasure map with 14 missions to complete. Each mission focuses on a different part of the climate crisis, and children are taken through a hierarchy of learning, action and sharing tasks. The game is available in many different languages and is developed by Plan International
Climate Friendly Habits is an educational material developed by the think tank CONCITO for children in 5th-7th grade. It focuses on clothing, food and electronics consumption and how children can change their consumption habits to be more sustainable. The material is only available in Danish.
‘Pupils are equipped to act as researchers themselves to learn more about - and challenge - their own and others' consumption habits based on new research and knowledge about the topics.’

PARTICIPATE! in Climate Action Webinar Series
PARTICIPATE! in the webinar series on climate action
In the fall of 2024, the partners in the PARTICIPATE! program, DUF, Youth Empowerment Transformation Trust (YETT) and Youth Alive! Kenya, organized three climate webinars on youth climate action and the climate issues young people face in different countries. The webinars featured climate experts who gave presentations on specific climate change topics, as well as youth organizations sharing their experience on how they engage in climate action.
The first webinar was hosted by YETT, with the theme of gender and inclusion in climate action. The second webinar was hosted by DUF, focusing on a just energy transition and how young people can advocate for climate action. The third webinar focused on youth-led climate adaptation with Youth Alive! Kenya as the host.
