Resolve: Youth Driving Peace & Security
Across Eastern Europe, young people are directly affected by wars, political tensions, and fragile democracies. At the same time, youth and youth-led civil society organisations often play important roles in responding to these challenges. It seems more important than ever to meet, exchange, and develop ideas together
This DUF seminar will bring together youth representatives from civil society organisations in Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, and Denmark.
The aim is to create a space to learn together to share perspectives, experiences, and ideas for action. Together we will explore ways for young people to engage in issues concerning peace and security.
Participants will get to:
- Share different understandings on peace and security from our lives and contexts and learn from established theories.
- Share experiences on how to better navigate issues of war, conflict, and insecurity within our organisations and different contexts.
- Try out tools and approaches to youth-led peace building, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation to develop concrete actions for our own organisations.
We want the seminar to be a safe and open environment, where participants engaged in youth-led civil society can meet across borders and divides, and exchange ideas in ways that are respectful, constructive, and useful for their own work.
Who can join?
Youth representatives from civil society organisations engaged in DUF-supported programmes and partnerships in the Eastern Partnership countries and Denmark.
